How to become filer

You can be a filer for Pakistan income tax provided you timely file your annual income tax return and meet other formalities. Faxton helps the businesses and individuals to maintain their status of an active taxpayer/filer by making due and timely compliance with the income tax law of Pakistan.

A filer or active taxpayer is a term used to represent those persons (individuals, firms, companies) who are registered for income tax/NTN in Pakistan under the Income Tax Ordinance, 2001 and appear on the Active Taxpayers List (ATL) being maintained by the Federal Board of Revenue (FBR). The ATL is updated once in a year i.e. in the month of March every year to include/exclude the name of the registered persons who have or have not filed their annual tax return for the latest tax year respectively. Taxpayers who managed to file their annual return after the due date can still be managed to be included in the ATL after payment of prescribed default surcharge for late filing.
