How to register a company

You can register your business as a corporate person that can be either a Single Member Company (SMC), a private limited company, a public limited company, a Limited Liabilities Partnership (LLP), an NGO or NPO. For that you need to first arrange the minimum number of required shareholders, partners and/or promotors etc., you would also be required to get approval of the proposed company’s name and arrange the requisite documents i.e. memorandum, articles, undertakings, affidavits, power of attorneys, partnership deeds, work proposals, income and expenditures estimates etc.

How to register a firm

You can register your firm or AOP by following the prescribed procedure and furnishing the required documents to the registrar of firms. A partnership firm can be formed by minimum of 2 partners and maximum of 10 partners. How to register an NGO

You can obtain registration of NGO if you wish to engage in any project involving charitable purpose or public welfare at large without any motive for profit. Among other statutory requirements for subject registration, one or more of the members of the proposed firm must have significant prior experience of the charitable/welfare projects. The members also need to prepare and submit the proposal for intended charitable project, income and expenditures estimates. How to register a currency exchange company

You can register a currency exchange business after obtaining prior NOC from State Bank of Pakistan (SBP), registration of company with the Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan (SECP), and business operating license from SBP. Currency exchange business in Pakistan can be carried out only by a company registered with the SECP and not by an individual or firm/AOP. License for currency exchange company is granted to those who meet the minimum capital requirement, pay the prescribed non-fundable registration fee of 1 million and fulfill other statutory requirements of SECP and SBP.
